Kamsons Pharmacy is an award-winning, family-run pharmacy group with over 80 locations across England. Recent enhancements to Original Pack Dispensing (OPD) functionality in ProScript Connect® have enabled their pharmacy teams to streamline dispensing workflows, increase full-pack dispensing and improve financial accuracy. Supporting improved dispensing workflows at scale

OPD functionality was introduced to ProScript Connect customers across the UK to support legislation allowing pharmacists in England to supply up to 10% more or less than the prescribed quantity for eligible prescriptions, using their professional judgement.

Since its introduction, enhancements including automated prompts and clearer OPD indicators have improved usability and increased uptake across pharmacy teams.

By enabling more prescriptions to be dispensed as full packs, OPD helps reduce interruptions in dispensing workflows and allows more items to move through the system without needing to be reworked or removed.

One of the most significant benefits for the organisation has been improved accuracy in reimbursement.
