Two independent pharmacies in London are seeing remarkable growth in patient engagement, thanks to Patient Access for Professionals (PA Pro).

Elham Nateghpour, Superintendent Pharmacist at both Kentish Town and Camden High Street pharmacies, has embraced our patient platform to help make healthcare more accessible for her community.

First introducing PA Pro at their Kentish Town branch, Elham and her team soon saw a significant increase in service bookings and patient footfall.

We saw such positive results that we quickly rolled it out to our Camden High Street pharmacy as well. PA Pro has helped us to promote our services online, bringing more patients through the door and improving access to healthcare.”

Connecting local communities to healthcare services

Elham shared how PA Pro has transformed patient care at both pharmacies, enabling them to better serve their diverse community.

PA Pro has allowed these pharmacy teams to offer a mix of NHS and private services, including Pharmacy First consultations and council-commissioned services such as free emergency contraception.

The latter has been a standout success with the support of PA Pro. Patients can now book online for their emergency contraception service, making it easier for those in need to access care quickly and without barriers.

Improving efficiencies for the pharmacy team

Beyond the benefit to patients, PA Pro has enhanced pharmacy operations. With clear appointment scheduling, the team can now plan their days more efficiently, balancing their workload between prescriptions and consultations. “It helps us organise our day,” Elham explained, “we can see our busiest times, manage prescriptions in advance, and provide better patient care.”

Increasing footfall and nominations

Although these pharmacy teams were well-trained in providing their range of services, they needed a more efficient way to connect with patients.

PA Pro proved to be the ideal solution, providing instant access to an established audience, and eliminating the need to build their own customer base or promote a new app. With over 18 million patients already using Patient Access, pharmacies can market their services more effectively while reaching engaged patients who are already familiar with the platform — making it easier to drive bookings and increase footfall without the usual hurdles of patient adoption.

In addition to offering a cost-effective solution, PA Pro has supported a positive shift in patient engagement. For these two London based pharmacies, the team have noted an increased awareness in their service offering, and even those who don't book online are now walking in thanks to the increased visibility. This in turn has led to a rise in nominations, with many patients transferring their regular prescriptions to the pharmacy after discovering its services through Patient Access.

It was a game changer. We used to rely on phone calls and face-to-face interactions. Now, with PA Pro, patients can book services online, making everything smoother for both them and us. We’ve seen more repeat visits and even word-of-mouth referrals within the community.”

Drive engagement and growth with PA Pro

Elham was delighted by the onboarding process as a new customer with PA Pro, and the strong support from the Patient Access team made the experience seamless. “The team were incredibly helpful”, she commented. “Whenever I had a question, they were there. That kind of responsiveness made all the difference.”

By embracing digital healthcare solutions, London’s independent pharmacies are ensuring that more people than ever can access high-quality, convenient, and efficient pharmacy services.

I would highly recommend Patient Access to other pharmacies. It increases footfall, boosts engagement, and enhances both patient care and business growth. It’s a win-win.”
