As interest in AI‑enabled ambient scribing grows across primary care, GP practices are under increasing pressure to adopt these technologies safely, legally and in line with national expectations. This one‑hour webinar will provide a clear, practical walkthrough of how GP practices and PCNs can prepare for and responsibly onboard AI‑enabled ambient scribing products in line with NHS England guidance and wider NHS best practice.
The session will unpack NHS England’s Guidance on the use of AI‑enabled ambient scribing products in health and care settings, explaining what it means in practice for general practice teams, from assurance and governance to day‑to‑day clinical use. The panel will outline the key steps practices need to take before implementation, including clinical safety (DCB0160), data protection and DPIAs, supplier assurance via the AVT Supplier Registry, patient transparency, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
Drawing on insights from the NHS AI in Practice Knowledge Repository, the webinar will also highlight what good AI adoption looks like in real‑world primary care settings and how practices can align local decision‑making with national frameworks for responsible AI use.
Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the actions required to get their practice “AI ready”, reduce risk, and confidently explore the benefits of ambient scribing within existing clinical systems.
