Business Support

Our business support functions play a crucial part in supporting our day-to-day operations at Optum. ​

 

​From finance to legal, people team to procurement and contracts, the expertise of our business support people empowers Optum to be successful, to grow and to continue to help improve people’s lives.​

Clinical

Our clinical function contains clinicians from a wide range of settings – from GPs and nurses through to consultants and pharmacists – bringing real-life clinical expertise and experience into Optum. ​

 

​Our team ensures that the reality of life as a clinician is built into all software, ensuring that we’re not only focused on the latest technology, but on what truly works for our end users.​

Commercial

We focus on the relationships we have with our customers so that we understand their needs and know how we can best support them.


We have an important job to do: to make sure our tech makes a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Our industry is the best kind of challenging – we work hard to get the right tech solutions for each customer and it’s deeply rewarding to empower front-line clinicians with new or more efficient ways to care for patients.

Customer Support

At Optum, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Our customer support teams play a vital role in identifying and resolving customer problems and ensuring that every customer interaction is a positive one. ​

 

​Working in a supportive environment, our customer support teams value collaboration and innovation. Joining our function, you will receive support and training on how to resolve customer problems and build your skillset in technology support. ​

Product

Our product teams are committed to improving our existing products and taking exciting new ones from concept to delivery.

 

They work closely with customers so that we can make a difference: from ground-breaking new tech right down to small ways to make their lives easier every day. We live and breathe customer experience and we make sure our users are trained and supported, every step of the way.

How do I apply?

Our application process is simple

  • 1. Application

    We'll ask you to complete a short application and upload your CV. Once submitted, one of our friendly talent team will be in touch to provide you with an update and potential next steps. Through the application process, you can discuss with our talent team any adjustments that you require.

  • 2. Initial chat

    If your skills and experience are a fit with the role that you've applied for, then you'll be invited to have an initial chat with the hiring manager or a member of our talent team. Following this initial stage, we'll then let you know if we wish to move forward to an interview with you.

  • 3. Interview

    Once we've confirmed your interview, one of our talent team will be in touch to go through what to expect, anything you may need to prepare and go through any questions you have. Following your interview, we will aim to provide a decision or feedback as quickly as possible.

  • 4. Offer/feedback

    If you've been successful, congratulations! We will follow up with the offer details and get your contract out to you as quickly as we can. If you've been unsuccessful on this occasion, one of our talent team will be in touch to provide you with full feedback and how to keep in touch with us about any future opportunities.
