Enabling safe and effective triage

eConsult was designed to improve demand management and enable clinicians to determine which patients require face-to-face appointments by providing asynchronous triage ahead of any patient contact. Practices can therefore substitute face-to-face or telephone consultations for eConsultations where appropriate. Data from our practices demonstrate that 85% eConsults can be managed remotely.
