As the year almost rounds to a close, discover updates from across EMIS in this month’s newsletter. This month’s highlights include: updates on the Welsh electronic prescription service (EPS) for community pharmacy, how data insights can help you to improve care, and an exciting ScriptCheck update for our ProScript Connect users.

Welsh EPS update for community pharmacy

We’ve reached a significant milestone in our partnership with Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) in the delivery of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).

EPS is being used at two ProScript Connect pilot sites in South Wales—Nantymoel & Ogmore Vale pharmacies. Starting in January 2025, ProScript Connect users can begin activities to prepare for the full EPS implementation.

Data-driven care: Enhancing outcomes in primary care

Data lies at the heart of all primary care systems, and analytical tools can use this data to unlock real-world evidence and uncover opportunities for improvement. Data insights can help organisations improve care delivery, build an effective workforce, and implement proactive and preventative care for their populations.

Find out more about the value of healthcare data and the tools that can help primary care organisations gain data insights to drive care forward. Read the blog:  Data-driven care : Enhancing outcomes in primary care | EMIS

Hospital pharmacists save hours every week by accessing real-time data

Healthcare professionals get a holistic view of a patient's health when they can access real-time patient records. This supports safer decision making and more personalised care. Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Trust who deliver care to 8,000 patients is using Shared Record Viewer (SRV), an internet-first, browser-based portal, to seamlessly access real-time patient data held across multiple healthcare systems.

Community pharmacies: how can we help you this flu season?

Flu season is a vital but busy time of year for pharmacies. Our suite of products and features could help your pharmacy to deliver your flu vaccination service efficiently and effectively this winter.

To learn more about how we're supporting pharmacies this flu season, check out our brochure.

ScriptCheck is now available within ProScript Connect at no additional cost

For ProScript Connect users in England, ScriptCheck is now available to help streamline dispensing workflows.

For many pharmacies, the dispensing process remains time-consuming, taking up a significant portion of a pharmacist's day. ScriptCheck is transforming outdated repeat prescription workflows, allowing pharmacists to step away from the dispensing bench and dedicate more time to delivering clinical services.
