Our sustainability strategy
Sustainability is embedded in our operations and intrinsically linked by a common mission to help people live healthier lives and help to make the health system work better for everyone.
Our ambition
Our vision for sustainability at Optum is to improve lives both now and in the future, by helping build a modern, high-performing health system.
We are committed to the continued evolution of our strategy to support this, through increasing understanding, challenging our own approach and continually striving for development by setting robust commitments and targets. One of these targets is to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.
We’ve also committed to specific of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
