Streamlining healthcare record sharing to accelerate clinical trial recruitment
Get in touch View all productsAccessing healthcare records remains a major bottleneck in trial recruitment. Even after patients give their consent to participate, GPs face unclear processes, data security concerns, and time-consuming admin like contracts and payments. Without a secure, simple way for primary care to share records, study sites can’t move quickly — delaying recruitment and impacting patient engagement.
Seamless, secure healthcare record sharing through Recruit
Recruit removes these roadblocks by enabling the secure transfer of patient records from GP practices to trial sites for trial screening. When patients consent to be contacted about a study, they can also agree to share their healthcare record. If they do, GPs are notified and prompted to review a static PDF summary containing key clinical information from up to 48 hours before consent, and can choose to share, redact, or decline.
The Recruit dashboard gives GPs clear visibility of which patients have consented and when records are shared. Access is controlled and traceable, limited to authorised users, with contracting, reimbursement, and communications handled in-system. Study sites can quickly receive patient healthcare records on their dashboard, allowing teams to assess eligibility before undertaking costly screening procedures. With real-time consent capture and secure, in-system sharing, Recruit helps trial sites begin screening without delay — accelerating recruitment and keeping timelines on track.
