Symphony is our urgent and emergency care system that’s used by 22% of emergency departments across the UK.

Outside of acute care settings, Patient Tracking within EMIS Web allow clinicians to more effectively track and manage their patients. With a patient timeline and colour-coded indicators that help clinicians keep to four-hour targets, it allows out-of-hospital departments to take control of unplanned admissions.

Child Protection Information Sharing links up local authority information with Symphony to allow clinicians to quickly identify at-risk children
Leeds West CCG is reducing unplanned admissions with our risk stratification tool that identifies the top 2% of at-risk patients
Business Intelligence is giving Belfast Health and Social Care Trust a real-time dashboard of information that allows them to immediately identify where improvements can be made
Managers at Frimley Health NHS Foundation trust are also using an eAudit solution to run live-data reports to improve care outcomes
Patients are able to share their medical record in an emergency with Patient Access, giving clinicians an important view of their health history.

Supporting innovation

We’re working to help urgent care providers in the future too. That’s why we’re collaborating with The Royal College of Emergency Medicine and Leeds Teaching Hospitals to develop the Emergency Care Data Set (ECDS).

Data recorded in Symphony at Leeds hospitals is helping to form the ECDS. Designed to replace the Accident and Emergency Commissioning Data Set, it will properly capture detailed information on emergency department activity across England.
