East Cheshire NHS Community Trust is saving time and working more efficiently since upgrading to EMIS-X Mobile. The new app cuts sync times in half, saving valuable time that can now be spent on patient care.

An insight into how EMIS-X Mobile enhances daily clinical work

Liam Radcliffe, Digital Applications Manager at East Cheshire NHS Community Trust, who led the Trust’s adoption of EMIS-X Mobile, emphasised the impact on their community, ”The app’s performance is twice as fast, halving the time required for updates and actions for over 500 community nurses using the platform” these time savings translate into more patient visits, improved efficiency, and a better experience for both clinicians and patients alike.

Liam spoke to one of the community nurses who had been using EMIS-X Mobile, providing him additional insight into the benefits of the new app. He noted “She's been using it for a few months and loves it. She really enjoys the fact that she can view her schedule for the following few days, check notes, and add things in where needed. Her experiences of the app have allowed me to better understand the extent of the capabilities from a user point of view.” EMIS-X Mobile enables community clinicians to schedule and view appointments with their patients providing them with more clarity and control over their patient care.

EMIS-X Mobile is much less confusing for our staff, because of it’s easy to use interface and consistent user experience. It makes it easier to work across devices which has ultimately saved us time through not having to retrain staff on different operating systems.”

Community Operational Manager, East Cheshire NHS Trust

Advancing from our foundations

Enhanced functionality, such as real-time photo capture, has also improved documentation and clinical decision-making.  Andrea explains, “Since the photo functionality was added - which I love - I’ve noticed many more updates that are highly beneficial to our community teams.”

The future of mobile healthcare

For Andrea, Liam, and the rest of the East Cheshire Community team, EMIS-X Mobile has improved both efficiency and how their healthcare is delivered. By empowering clinicians with faster, more reliable access to patient data, the platform helps to support them in achieving their mission of helping patients live well and stay healthy.
