  • Mental health

Electronic document and record management

Features and benefits

  • Integration of medical records, scanning and searching.
  • Instantly retrieve and search for records.
  • Full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Achieve paperless targets.
  • Save significant time retrieving and searching for records.
  • Improve patient safety and care.

The delays from providing clinics with a complete set of patient records can cost your organisation thousands of pounds every time a paper record is misplaced or can’t be found. By continuing to use paper records, your organisation’s less likely to be able to react in a timely manner – which can affect patient safety and lead to lost revenue.

Paperless 2020

The national objective set by Jeremy Hunt to deliver a paperless NHS by 2020 presents many challenges and complications for healthcare organisations. Our fast and efficient electronic document and records management (EDRM) solution can help by replacing paper records with digital storage, searching and archiving. This can help you to improve patient safety, reduce costs and comply with regulatory standards.

How it works

As the leading Microsoft partner delivering Sharepoint-based solutions for healthcare organisations, we’re working in partnership with Kofax and Microsoft to deliver an electronic document and records management (EDRM) solution. Our EDRM solution is fully integrated within your clinical system, which can help you achieve a truly paperless organisation.

Kofax capture technology simplifies, governs and automates the capture, profiling and digitisation of paper records. This helps to standardise and remove human error from the data capture and filing process for increased patient safety. By automatically identifying documents, the system also reduces the cost of capture and scanning.

Microsoft SharePoint automates and manages the retention and destruction of clinical and corporate records in line with all regulatory compliance standards such as the NHS code of practice.

Save time and cost

  • Save an estimated £1,000 per day for document retrieval.
  • Reduce document retrieval time from over ten days to less than a few seconds.
  • Fully integrated into clinical systems to save time and improve care.

You can make significant cost savings by reducing the amount of physical storage space, materials, transport and staff resource associated with paper based document retrieval. We work with you to create a compelling cost/benefit analysis or business case for an EDRM solution, helping you move towards a paperless environment.
