Electronic document and record management

Features and benefits

  • Scanning, searching and integration of medical records.
  • Instant retrieval and search of records.
  • Full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Achieve paperless targets
  • Save significant time searching and retrieving records.
  • Improve patient safety and care.

The delays from providing clinics with a complete set of patient records can cost your organisation thousands of pounds every time a paper record is misplaced or can’t be found. By continuing to use paper records, this will impact on your organisation’s ability to react in a timely manner, affecting patient safety, and losing revenue.

The national objective set by Jeremy Hunt to deliver a paperless NHS by 2018 presents many implications, challenges and complications for healthcare organisations. We can help you objective with our fast, efficient EDRM solution. By removing paper records and digitally storing, searching and archiving, you can improve patient safety, reduce costs and comply with regulatory standards.

How it works

As the leading Microsoft partner delivering Sharepoint based solutions for healthcare organisations, we are working in partnership with Kofax and Microsoft to deliver an electronic document and records management (EDRM) solution.  Kofax capture technology simplifies, governs and automates the capture, profiling and digitisation process of paper artefacts which, whilst standardising and removing human error from the capture and filing process, also vastly reduces the cost of capture (scanning) process through automatically identifying documents and profiling. Microsoft SharePoint automates and manages the retention and destruction of clinical and corporate records in line with all regulatory compliance standards such as the NHS code of practice.

The EDRM solution is fully integrated within your clinical systems which can help you achieve a truly paperless organisation.

Save time and cost

  • Save an estimated £1,000 per day for document retrieval
  • Reduce document retrieval time from over ten days to less than a few seconds
  • Fully integrated into clinical systems to save time and improve care

You can make significant cost savings by reducing the amount of physical storage space, materials, transport and staff resource associated with paper based document retrieval. We work with you to create a compelling cost/benefit analysis or business case for an EDRM solution, helping you move towards a paperless environment.
