ePrescribing special report: slow progress with removal of tech fund money

10 Jun 2016

In Digital Health's latest special report, Daloni Carlisle analyses the roll-out of eprescribing across NHS England.

The report highlights the slowing of ePrescribing implementations, particularly since tech fund money has been halted.

Duane Lawrence, managing director of secondary care at EMIS Health provided comment for the report: "There is still desire on the part of most trusts to move forward with e-prescribing - but the money that was allocated to it nationally has dried up."

Whilst it is recognised that eprescribing impementation is key to a paperless NHS and the future of local digital roadmaps, the progress in 2016 looks set to be slow.
