It means EMIS Health has successfully demonstrated compliance with NHS standards for suppliers awarded contracts under the GP IT Futures Framework. The catalogue is an NHS Digital procurement platform for clinical commissioners and other NHS buyers to find, evaluate and buy assured IT solutions.
The GP IT Futures framework will replace GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC), the current contractual framework, to supply IT systems and services to GPs in England. Formal approval on the NHS Digital Care Services Catalogue is a detailed process to ensure that GP systems meet strict clinical safety and operational requirements similar to the high standards that EMIS Web meets today.
Suzy Foster, CEO at EMIS Health said: “As the market leader, we are delighted to be the first GP system supplier to be accepted onto the Catalogue, which assures prospective customers that we meet all the relevant open technology and data standards for our GP systems.”
EMIS Health is among 69 approved suppliers on the GP IT Futures framework, which was announced last month.
