Last week we held our annual Healthcare User Group Conference in Birmingham. Over 130 delegates attended, making it our biggest Healthcare User Group Conference yet!
Bringing together EMIS Web customers from across community, children's and mental health organisations, the day was opened by our Healthcare User Group chair - Jackie Lucas - and Ian Bailey - our senior clinical informatics consultant for integrated healthcare - before leading on to a variety of sessions covering what's new and coming soon in EMIS Web; including a live demo of Care Plans in EMIS Web.
Our guest speaker in the morning was Geoff Schrecker, an independent health IT consultant and former chair of the EMIS NUG - the user group for our primary care customers. He covered the importance of having an electronic health record and shared what the EMIS NUG have learned over the years of establishing their user group.
The afternoon was filled with a mix of breakout sessions - covering EMIS Mobile, Health Analytics, the EMIS Health Support Centre and community clinical templates for EMIS Web. These hands-on sessions gave delegates the chance to see live demos of the software - and try it out for themselves - whilst being able to ask our system experts their questions.
One of the key highlights of the day included a presentation by Jonathan Lewis, CEO, and Sue Verran, senior clinical systems trainer, at Bromley Healthcare, where they explained why they chose EMIS Web as their clinical system, and how they've implemented it across their organisation. Sue also shared how EMIS Mobile is helping their district nurses save up to an hour each day. Read the full case study.
