We need you – help us shape the future of EMIS Web

Last year we ran a study at the EMIS National User Group Conference to find out how user friendly EMIS Web is. We’re running the study again at this year’s conference in September, to test out some of the improvements we’re planning to make to the system and we need your help.

We’re running two different sessions on different areas of EMIS Web – one on each day:

  • Medications Prescribing on day one - Thursday 22 September
  • SNOMED code picker on day two - Friday 23 September.

Volunteer requirements

All skill levels of EMIS Web welcome from beginner to experienced user.

Medications prescribing

(Thursday 22 September)

SNOMED code picker

(Friday 23 September)

  • Must be a clinician.
  • Must use EMIS Web medications module to prescribe drugs.
  • Any job role (eg clinician, practice manager, admin, IT lead).
  • Must use EMIS Web to do some form of coding (eg entering codes in EMIS Web, selecting codes to create a report or a template etc).
  • No knowledge or experience of SNOMED is necessary.

Please note: the study will be completed using a test system with dummy patient data, so you won’t need login details or a smartcard to take part.

What's involved?

Sessions will last around 25 minutes, and are run on a one-to-one basis with one of our team. You’ll be asked to complete some general activities using EMIS Web as you would in your job, followed by a short discussion.

If you can’t spare 25 minutes, we do have a limited number of 15 minute slots available too.

Get involved

Please see our slot timetable in your email invite to book. Slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
