Overview

Within this session we will be introducing Golden Tote – a stockless repeat prescription assembly solution which increases efficiency and productivity within your dispensing process whilst also providing the benefits of improved quality and safety associated with barcode technology.

Understanding the ever increasing pressure community pharmacy faces, it is pivotal that we are able to release capacity within our current community pharmacy business to redeploy to patient facing services. Utilizing barcode technology and a software application that is seamlessly embedded within the PMR system and in partnership with PHOENIX, Golden tote facilitates direct assembly from the tote box. This releases capacity from both the pharmacist and staff, whilst also providing an opportunity to decrease local stock holding and releasing networking capital.

Nicky Grundy, Head of Consulting, Numark

As a registered pharmacist by profession, Nicky has had a varied and extensive career over the past 20 years. As a senior leader within PHOENIX UK, Nicky has extensive cross functional experience within key health sector business units including Senior operational and leadership roles within Retail, Service and Commercial development, Innovation & Development, Automation design and implementation & Supply chain. Her passion throughout her career has been innovation within pharmacy & patient care; having worked in partnership with many external organizations including the NHS, Pharma, and technology automation providers to develop value add and new strategic concepts that drive large scale change, efficiency and quality.

Within her current role as Head of Consulting, she is responsible for developing a consultancy strategy to ensure the Numark membership are financially and operationally fit for the future role of community pharmacy.

 

Adam James, Senior Consultancy Account Manager, Numark

Adam has over 15 years of retail operational and managerial experience, since initially starting his career with Rowlands Pharmacy in 2005. Adams vast retail knowledge and experience has been gained from multiple managerial roles. Initially within Retail Services department where he was responsible for pharmacy redesign and refits as well as full project management of relocations.  Adam has also held direct responsibility as an Area Manager for the operational, financial and professional standards of 25 contracts as well as a Regional manager extending this responsibility to 270 pharmacies.  From 2018 to 2020 Adam held the role of Transformation Manager where he was responsible for writing and delivering Rowlands initial consolidation strategy. This included the review of the retail delivery estate and leading the implementation of Rowlands off-site dispensing facility across 500+ contracts before joining the consultancy team at Numark last year.

 

Lorna Lang, Consultancy Account Manager, Numark

Following a degree in business management Lorna started her career in marketing for an independent opticians and then within the NHS before moving to Numark, part of PHOENIX UK. Her initial marketing role within Numark was developing and building the brand and communications processes alongside project management of key initiatives.

After nearly 10 years in marketing, Lorna progressed into a very successful Pharmacy Development Sales role before then resuming management responsibility for Sales performance Team. Lorna is now over a year into her new operational role as Consulting account manager, where she is an ambassador for the Golden Tote proposition and holds a key role in the implementation of the consultancy proposition.
