EMIS Industry Live: Improving GP participation in clinical research

06 Dec 2021 12:00 - 13:00 Microsoft Teams Live

In the 2021 policy paper ‘Saving and improving lives: the future of UK clinical research delivery’, the government set out clearly their motivation to ‘embed clinical research at the heart of patient care across the NHS’. This is in line with the NHS Long Term Plan to "increase the number of people registering to participate in health research to one million by 2023/24”.

Research shows that Participation of UK GPs in clinical trials is low due to inefficiencies in study invitation, communication and data collection. It also shows that recruitment of patients is among the most commonly listed inefficiencies in UK clinical trials.

In collaboration with our GP customers, we want to address this challenge and accelerate research recruitment in primary care. This is an opportunity for you to have an early preview of our new solution EMIS Recruit powered by EMIS-X. This integrated solution within EMIS Web enables you to easily access pre-defined cohorts of eligible patients. You'll not only be helping to embed clinical research at the heart of patient care across the NHS, but you'll be able to access new revenue streams for your practice.
