The NHS moves to digital solutions at pace to support conversations and care coordination around patients in the COVID-19 new normal. Microsoft Teams and EMIS Web work together to deliver virtual MDTs simply, effectively and safely in the new normal.
Microsoft Teams gains momentum across the NHS, driving collaboration across care teams via chat, groups, and virtual meetings. In the COVID new normal period, as many patient services as possible need to be delivered virtually to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Although for some time it has been proven that Microsoft Teams is a great way of delivering MDT meetings across care settings we now see this technology being truly adopted by the NHS. This session will walk through a MDT scenario, showing how you can set up a channel within your organisation, and invite the MDT to attend virtual meetings, share documents, and use the features within EMIS Web to collate and share the care plans.

Kathryn Hoyle, Senior Training and Optimisation Consultant, EMIS Health
I have worked in the training team for EMIS for 5 years, gaining experience across all markets that we, as a team deliver. Now as a lead trainer, being part of the management team for the division gives me the opportunity to help develop the skills of our training team, upskilling them into the other markets such as community, clinical services, community pharmacy. Having worked in these markets myself across all areas of the country it has widened my knowledge on how our customers use our systems and why each project is different when considering their geographical location and service needs.
As well as having a hand in the development of the knowledge and skills in the training team, I have held training sessions in the offices to exchange knowledge of the system and how it is used in context with our customers for various office based teams including visiting the offices in India. Being a part of the training team we are lucky enough to see first-hand what difference our software and support we give our customers makes a difference in their everyday working.
