London pharmacy group gives green light to online platform

The use of Patient Access for Professionals enabled the Green Light Pharmacy Group to grow the number of flu jabs given by 20% across its 13 branches in London and "reach a huge number of people [they] would not have been able to otherwise". Patients with the Green Light Pharmacy Group have booked 3,976 appointments via the platform in the last 12 months, and in addition the group has carried out 4,000 flu jabs. Transforming general practice COVID capacity with our partners

As we continue to adjust to the new normal and the impact of COVID-19 on the healthcare landscape, NHS England has announced a £150m investment to support primary care (which has now been extended until September 2021). The demand on primary care continues to grow and the complex set of priorities they face continue to change. At EMIS we’re committed to enabling greater insight-led integrated health and social care, underpinned by reliable technology, with this in mind we asked our network of partners to provide some thoughts on how their solutions can support primary care.

We're working on a number of enhancements, including:

  • Appointment slot statuses will be automatically refreshed every 10 minutes.
  • A new export option will allow you to download the Read Codes used in locally created resources and maps them to the relevant SNOMED CT codes, making it easier for you to rebuild searches, reports, templates, concepts and other library items. Find out more
  • We're removing pop-up messages from GP Connect to make t easier for practices to work together to deliver COVID vaccination clinics.

We are excited to share more when they are generally available next month in 9.12.

We've made some enhancements around Multi Factor identification to increase the security of patient data.

Community Pharmacy 

ProScript Connect

We're piloting ProScript Connect v1.26 this month, which includes the Database Volume Control update. This is a general maintenance facility within the system that will keep data within the optimal range. This will ensure the application performance is maintained at all times.

We've also integrated our system with Pharmaself 24. This is the market leading automated prescription collection system. It lets your patients pick up their medicines whenever it is convenient to them.
