In this month's newsletter we're turning the spotlight on our upcoming inaugural event, EMIS Health Live: The New Normal. Hosted online, this fortnight of free events led by industry experts provides a great opportunity to reflect, learn, grow and adapt to 'the new normal'.
EMIS Health Live: The New Normal
In the past few months we’ve seen unprecedented advancements in the adoption of technology to support care delivery. Now, as things begin to stabilise, we invite you to take some time to reflect on these changes. Looking at how we maintain this momentum, make the most of new technologies and formalise processes will help to ensure that we’re ready for the next challenge ahead. Find out more and register here.
EMIS Health Live covers a broad range of topics in various session types: seminars where you'll hear from industry experts as they discuss themes and share best practice; lunch & learns where our dedicated training team will show you how to get the most out of our solutions; and power ups, where in just a short 15 minutes you'll get the low down on various solutions and partner products that integrate into EMIS Web.

Reduce care home visits with Arc Health
EMIS Health is pleased to announce a partnership with Arc Health that will allow customers to remotely assess care home residents using remote examination technology. The partnership allows GP surgeries to undertake virtual ward rounds, minimising care home visits and preventing unnecessary hospitalisation of residents. Find out more here.
Enable more streamlined care between the patient, GP and pharmacy
With our present day reliance on the internet and our passion for digital, it's easy to forget that not everybody is part of the technical revolution. Pharmacy Access can help to close the gap, and ensure that everyone can enjoy the benefits of electronic prescribing - whether they have access to the internet or not. Find out more here.
Ensure your organisation is Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) compliant
FMD affects all those that dispense medicines and controlled drugs to their patients. All pharmacies must be registered with SecurMed, and must be decommissioning the relevant medicines as they are leaving the pharmacy premises. Read how to make sure your organisation is FMD compliant here.

ProScript Connect SMS functionality
Earlier this year we enabled the ability to send notifications to patients via SMS. The notification functionality allows you to send/schedule text messages and send emails to patients from the 'Notification Manager' module within ProScript Connect, allowing seamless tracking of previously sent text and emails notifications shared with your patients. Further information can be found on Support Centre via ProScript Connect.

All clinical service organisations including hospices are now live with SNOMED CT and all community modules of EMIS Web are compatible.
This paves the way for community enterprise organisations and any remaining hospices to move to the latest clinical coding vocabulary.
EMIS Mobile users can now:
- discharge patients from within the app
- add referrals
- edit, delete and end care plans directly within the app, saving them valuable time.
We've improved EPS signing speed and continued the rollout of EPS phase 4.
We've also updated SCR to help the NHS to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We're now including additional information in SCR for patients by default, unless they have previously told the NHS that they did not want their information to be shared.
We've made a range of updates, including:
- Implementation of single sign on
- Online only services can now be listed on marketplace
- COVID Hub: one place for all COVID related content within PA
- Introduced counselling services
