EMIS Community Pharmacy Awards 2021

The inaugural EMIS Community Pharmacy Awards recognises the success and achievements of our community pharmacy customer.

Empowering Patients Community Pharmacy of the Year: Murrays Chemist & Travel Clinic

Murrays Chemist & Travel Clinic used Patient Access for Professionals (PA Pro) to generate over 1,184 patient bookings for private and NHS pharmacy services over the past 20 months. The team are currently offering over 50 pharmacy services through PA Pro and have seen an increase in the patients taking more control over their health.

Connecting Healthcare Community Pharmacy of the Year: Lewis Grove Pharmacy

Lewis Grove Pharmacy recently started offering the covid clinic, PCR tests and private PGD's with Patients. They have been using ProScript Connect for signposting and to send repeat prescription requests to their local GPs, this solution has enabled them to easily share information with GP and allowed them to be more joined up.

Optimising Resource Community Pharmacy of the Year: Jhoots Pharmacy

Jhoots Pharmacy has set up their national distribution centre in their Darlaston branch where they prepare all dosset boxes for patients nationally. This has allowed them to free up branch staff across the group to help promote pharmacy services including, minor ailments and improve the quality of the service they deliver to their patients.

Medicines Management Community Pharmacy of the Year: Medipharmacy Limited 

Medipharmacy Limited trained all their staff to provide medication counselling and guidance when handing out medication. They are now completing over 350 NMS services per month across the entire group. This has enabled patients to understand how to adhere to new medication regimens and ask the pharmacist any questions about their medication usage.
