Bed Management module coming soon
Bed Management is a real challenge for our customers who operate bedded or inpatient units. Ensuring that patient flow is managed in the most efficient way from admission to discharge is key to delivering high-quality care. Our new Bed Management module will be available in EMIS Web 9.13 onwards, with the early adopter process for the 9.13 under way and general release expected in June. Keep an eye out for more info over the coming months.
EMIS Mobile 6.0 is expected to be available from mid-May. The next release of EMIS Mobile on iOS will deliver a cleaner, more intuitive user experience designed for use on Smartphones, not just tablets – making it easier than ever for our customers to use EMIS Mobile in the field. We’ve designed this in collaboration with our customers throughout, and we’re looking forward to following up with smartphone support for Android devices as part of our roadmap.
A new 'Take a Photo' feature has also been introduced which will allow users to take up to three photos during a consultation and add them to the patient record. This will support more detailed consultation, higher quality care and enable new workflows for our customers.
The team have been working on a number of enhancements:
- The “lock release time” is now shown to users who are locked out of their account due to an incorrect password and/ or memorable word. This will prevent this “locked” time being extended unnecessarily and unknowingly by users.
- We have made changes to the discoverability of Marketplace services, enabling users to customise what services they are shown or offered.
- Within Marketplace, we have made a clear distinction between GP and Non GP services.
- We have introduced a “£” icon against services that offer paid appointments, making it crystal clear which services are offered free of charge and which aren’t.
- Repeat medication orders are now distinguished from “Recent Orders” and “Archived Orders”, further simplifying the management of medications.
