Delivering efficient and effective person-centred care closer to home
Community services make up £9.75 billion of the entire NHS budget and are essential to delivering efficient and effective person-centred care. As the NHS looks to break down the traditional barriers between care settings, we’re helping community organisations provide patient care as close to home as possible, treating patients in a location that best suits them.
What we do
We have over 30 years of experience in delivering clinical software to support organisations to provide better, safer care. We’re currently helping 45,000 community, children’s and mental health staff deliver high-quality, seamless and connected patient care though our clinical system, EMIS Web.
We have a wide team of clinicians working with our developers to deliver technology that meets the ever-changing demands of all healthcare teams, with patient safety at its heart.
Supporting new ways of working
The NHS aims to integrate services across health and care so that all patients receive the help and support they need in a location that’s convenient for them. This makes it easier for patients to maintain their health and independence whilst also allowing clinicians to identify potential issues and risks as quickly as possible. We’ve worked closely with NHS Digital to develop a clinical IT system that touches on all ten of their delivery domains. This has been crucial to ensuring we're not only delivering a system for the now but a system that will support NHS teams well into the future.
Helping you meet NHS targets
We align with the NHS’s IT strategy so, you can be confident that our IT systems will allow you to
share vital patient information in real time
provide joined-up and high-quality care
communicate and share information securely and easily with other clinicians
make informed clinical decisions
view and update the same electronic patient records (EPRs) as primary, acute and specialist organisations
We know that most community healthcare takes place in people’s homes, with teams of nurses and therapists who must coordinate care with other professionals to help patients live independently. That’s why EMIS Mobile allows you to view and update patient notes at the point of care and make clinically informed decisions. And, because you can update patient information on the go, less time is spent travelling to and from the office, freeing up more time for patients.
Around the clock support for around the clock care
Because the NHS never stops, our expert support team are on hand 24 hours a day, every day, so that you can get the help you need to keep delivering care.
What’s more, through the Healthcare User Group (HUG) you’ll have the opportunity to share your product knowledge with other teams and shape the future of our products and technology.
